This website is owned and operated by Louise Hampson Artworks (“I”, “me”, “my”). This policy explains what personal information I collect through louisehampson.co.uk, why I collect it, and what your rights are.

Who I am

Louise Hampson, artist Based in the UK. Contact: hello@louisehampson.co.uk

What information I collect

When you use the contact form on this site, I collect:

  • Your name
  • Your email address
  • The content of your message

I don’t collect any other personal information through this site unless you send it to me directly (for example, in the message itself).

Why I collect it

I use this information only to respond to your enquiry — whether that’s a question about an artwork, a commission request, an exhibition invitation, or a general message.

The legal basis for processing this data is consent (given when you tick the checkbox and submit the form) and, in some cases, legitimate interest in responding to enquiries sent to me directly.

How long I keep it

I keep enquiry messages for as long as needed to respond to and, where relevant, follow up on your enquiry — typically no longer than 12 months unless we go on to have an ongoing conversation (for example, about a commission), in which case I’ll keep relevant correspondence for as long as that relationship continues.

Who I share it with

I don’t sell, rent, or share your information with third parties for marketing purposes.

The contact form on this site is built with WordPress and submissions are sent directly to me — they don’t pass through any third-party form service.

This site does use Jetpack (developed by Automattic) for site statistics — for example, to see how many people visit the site and which pages are popular. Jetpack Stats may process some visitor data (such as browser type and general location derived from IP address) to generate these statistics.

You can read Automattic’s own privacy policy at automattic.com/privacy for more detail on how Jetpack Stats handles data.

Cookies

This website uses WordPress, which may set a small number of cookies needed for basic site functionality.

This site also uses Jetpack Stats to understand how visitors use the site (for example, which pages are viewed and how many visitors the site gets). This sets analytics cookies in your browser. Jetpack Stats is designed to be privacy-friendly and doesn’t track you across other websites, but it does collect some visitor data as described above.

No advertising or third-party marketing cookies are used on this site.

You can control or delete cookies at any time through your browser settings.

    Your rights

Under UK GDPR, you have the right to:

    • Ask what personal information I hold about you
    • Ask me to correct inaccurate information
    • Ask me to delete your information
    • Withdraw consent at any time (this won’t affect anything already done based on consent given before withdrawal)

To exercise any of these rights, email me at hello@louisehampson.co.uk.

    Complaints

If you’re unhappy with how your data has been handled, you can contact the UK’s data protection authority, the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO), at ico.org.uk.

    Changes to this policy

I may update this policy from time to time. The “last updated” date at the top will reflect the most recent change.
